Purpose
Improve account profitability, win target business, and manage all commercial aspects of the responsible accounts.
Ensure the wider organization has updated knowledge of the account status and focuses on the key account objectives.
Evaluate cost, quality and delivery performance at the customer’s locations and review regularly with the CST Leader.
Manage day to day contact with buyers and other key customer contacts, analyze customer requests, and proactively resolve issues.

Duties include but are not limited to:
Understand what it takes to win business, and maintain the customer relationships (50%)
- Build relationships and present capabilities to Customers
- Co-lead/complete RFQ and internal business case procedures
- Co-lead and support Customer negotiations
Managing Current Business (30%)
- Review Customer Contracts
- Work with program manager to maximize engineering changes for profitability
- Implement and track profit improvement activities
- Manage Customer cost down requests
Marketing and Strategic Planning (10%)
- Prepare quotation and sales strategy for target models
- Provide target costs, prices and revenues to Business Assessment
- Identify target models and technology trends
- Create and maintain updated account plan documents
Forecasting and Reporting (10%)
- Provide forecast account volume, price, technology and targets
- Regular reporting on commercial actions, Customer and competitor activity

Travel
- Travel is extensive which may require out of state and overnight travel may be expected (~40% annually). The travel is subject to change due to changing business conditions and may increase from time-to-time due to required needs in other plants.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 2 years sales experience; ideally in the Automotive industry
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Solid written and verbal communications
- Marketing aptitude
- Self-starter and team player who can operate in a global matrix structure
- Willingness to travel
Qualifications Desired:
- Track Record with Automotive customers
- Fluency in a second language
Experience
