Full description of the position

Overview:
As a Managed Services Sales Executive (MSSE), you will be responsible for direct sales of IT Solutions focused on infrastructure hardware and services, Managed IT Services, and Managed Cyber Security Services.
The successful candidate must be able to show new prospects the added value of a Managed IT Service over the reactive Break-Fix service model. The MSSE will build key customer relationships, identify new business opportunities, negotiate, and close sales to maintain established quotas and maintain extensive knowledge of current Information Technology market conditions. It is their job to work with the internal team and other managers to increase sales opportunities and maximize profitable revenue for the organization. To achieve this, the MSSE will need to find potential new customers, present our services and solutions to them in a consultative manner, convert them into clients, and continue to grow new business within those accounts in the future. They will call on clients and deliver sales presentations on solutions and services that meet or predict their future needs.
The primary role of the MSSE is to prospect new clients by networking, cold calling, or other means of generating interest from potential clients. They must conduct persuasive, effective sales activities that convince potential clients to do business with the company. They must develop a rapport with new clients and meet established quotas for sales and provide support that will continually improve client relationships. They must also grow and retain existing accounts by presenting new solutions and services to clients. Additionally, they will convert existing accounts to a Managed Cyber Security Service Agreement. Strategic sales planning is a vital part of the MSSE responsibility to develop the pipeline of new business coming into the company. This requires a thorough knowledge of the market, solutions, and services the company can provide, as well our competitors.
Responsibilities:
New Business Development:
  • Searches for potential new clients and converts them into paying customers.
  • Cold calling as appropriate within our market or geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
  • Meeting potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network.
  • Identifies potential clients and the decision-makers within the client organization.
  • Researches and builds relationships with new clients.
  • Sets up meetings between client decision-makers and the company’s practice leaders.
  • Works with team to develop proposals based on client needs, concerns, and objectives.
  • Closes new business opportunities by coordinating requirements, developing, and negotiating contracts, while integrating such requirements with business operations.
  • Participates in pricing the solutions/services.
  • Handles objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements, and working through differences to a positive conclusion.
  • Convert existing accounts to Managed Cyber Security Service Agreements.
Client Retention
  • Presents new products and services while building relationships.
  • Works with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs.
  • Arranges and participates in internal and external client debriefs when requested.
  • Maintains a high level of client satisfaction.
Business Development Planning
  • Attends industry functions, such as association events and conferences in addition to providing feedback and information on market and creative trends.
  • Identifies opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will increase sales.
  • Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identifies and develops the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
Management and Research
  • Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the company’s sales CRM/PSA.
  • Meets or exceeds established sales quotas.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent required.
  • 2 - 3 years’ sales experience selling business solutions to small and medium commercial accounts is preferred.
  • Experience in creating budgets and summaries is necessary.
  • Proven experience with transactional technology hardware, software, licensing, integration, and Corporate managed IT services and recurring revenue service sales experience preferred.
  • Track record of growing new customer revenue needed.
  • Ability to build strong internal and customer-focused relationships necessary.
  • Advanced proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and CRM is a must.
  • An ability to simplify the explanation of complex technological concepts to prospects and customers is essential.
  • Exhibits mastery of the 7 Step Consultative Sales Process.
  • Obsession with results and accountability required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively work with various departments and levels is a must.
  • Must be flexible and open to business-related travel based on company needs.
