Salary Range: $90,000 - $100,000

The Role
The Senior Account Manager will report directly to the Vice President, Multifamily Affordable Housing Services and will leverage Bright Power's exemplary reputation and brand to help deepen existing account relationships and expand the company’s presence within the affordable sector in the NYC Metro Area. The individual in this role will work closely with the Vice President, Multifamily Affordable Housing Services to take ownership of the relationships with a strong portfolio of existing clients while also leading outreach to prospective accounts.
Bright Power is a leader in energy management for real estate in New York City and combines software, engineering, consulting, and construction to help our clients reduce their energy costs and carbon emissions. The Senior Account Manager will have the opportunity to leverage Bright Power’s expertise to help proactively shape Energy Management strategies for affordable housing owners and developers. This will include leading the development of our relationships with existing clients, owning sales processes, and with the Vice President’s support, leading meetings and calls with clients and prospects. Bright Power is focused on providing services in the following areas which the Senior Account Manager would have direct exposure to and responsibility for selling:
- Green Building Consulting and Certification Services (Passive House, Enterprise Green Communities, LEED, and Commissioning)
- Utility Bill and Real Time Data Enabled Ongoing Energy Management Services (EnergyScoreCards and MoBIUS)
- Energy Audits
- Energy+Water Efficiency Retrofit Services (Lighting, HVAC, Envelope, Plumbing)
- Onsite Generation Consulting and Installation Services (Solar PV, Battery Storage)
- Energy Procurement Brokerage
Responsibilities:
- Build relationships and manage an existing portfolio of clients, becoming each client’s trusted energy management advisor
- Develop a deep understanding of each client’s energy infrastructure and existing energy management practices across different divisions of their organization
- Develop a deep understanding of Bright Power’s service offerings which include:
- Working cross-functionally to seek expertise and configure optimal solutions for each client’s portfolio of properties
- Consultatively identifying opportunities to up-sell clients on further services for new and existing projects, developing an end-to-end solution for each real estate portfolio and specific properties
- Preparing proposals and present the value proposition for each service virtually and in-person
- Developing and maintain understanding of building science, energy systems and other technical aspects of the role
- Learning and understand Federal/State and Utility affordable housing policies and programs impacting an energy management strategy for a client, with the ability to apply project financing, where available
- Participating in industry events in the NY metro area represent the company and build presence in the market
- Monitoring, measuring, and tracking progress of opportunities in [please apply online] and provide weekly reporting to management
- Meeting or exceeding sales quotas
- Undertaking other projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in sustainability or energy services
- Previous work experience in the affordable housing sector, including: property management, real estate, or a related field
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including proposal writing
- Stellar presentation skills, with the ability to tailor dynamic presentations to different audiences
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Salesforce (or similar CRM tool)
- Creativity in locating new clients and sources of revenue
Salary and Benefits
