Job Title: Customer Advocate/Inside Sales Representative
Reports To: Director of Sales & Marketing
Summary of Position:
Lead all order processes from the time of receiving a PO until the order has shipped. Become the primary organizational advocate for PO fulfillment through excellence. This will be done primarily by guiding and optimizing the order entry process and supply chain as well as providing best in class customer communication, troubleshooting, and relationship building. We also see this role as aiding and growing our label sales once the order process is mastered and optimized.
Essential Duties:
- Demonstrate winsome ownership over all PO’s and fulfillment
- Respond to customer inquiries, product questions, price questions, complaints, etc.
- Documents customer concerns
- Enter orders, reorders, status checks, change orders, credits, and redo’s.
- Maintains customer records by updating account information.
- Work with customers and Sales force on price discrepancies
- Empowered to make decisions to support the customer
- Work with customers and sales representatives to solve problems or answer questions.
- Document contacts with customers and sales representatives.
- Answer questions on orders from customers, operations, and our warehouse.
- Communicates late or back orders with customers
- Keep track of rush situations and work to fulfill requested dates
- Shipping estimates
- Works with Carrier customer service departments and corporate representatives.
- Ensure that new customer accounts are set up properly while communicating to all internal departments the new addition as well as account specifics and classifications
- Process sample requests
- Perform any special projects
- Other duties as assigned by the Director.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Agility to work seamlessly between operations, sales, leadership, and customers.
- High desire and commitment level to communicate well internally and externally
- Very high “say to do” ratio
- Good communication skills, by phone (i.e. pleasant voice, listening skills),
- Able to convey a strong service attitude in written and oral communication
- Strong computer skills, with knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel
- Strong organizational skills and strong ability to multitask
- Reliable documentation skills
- Ability to work in the office from 8:30-5:00 pm EST
- Persistent in obtaining information and problem solving without supervision (self - motivated)
- Respect the confidentiality of all information
- Successful completion of the 90-day training phase of this job and confidence to perform all of the basic functions of the job without supervision
- Ability to work well with customers, sales reps, peers, and supervisors
Training and Experience:
- College Degree
- 2 - 3 year’s business experience/customer service, some of which includes communicating with the public in person or by phone
Physical Requirements:
- Reaching for phone and keyboard
- Talking, hearing and repetitive motion
- Sedentary work-exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally.
- Required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned or to make general observations of facilities or structures
