Account Manager

Laser Dynamics Inc. is a fast-growing company that is looking for an Account Manager to join our team. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn and wants to be part of a growing company.

Summary

Develop long term relationships with internal/external customers and suppliers. Manage small to large projects from inception to completion. The Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing their book of business. This will include evaluating and preparing requests for quotes, type of material, laying out, yield of material, operations and coming up with the total manufacturing cost of the part. Establishes relationships with both customers and material suppliers to optimize business objectives.

Essential Job Functions/Duties:

• Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within the scope and within budget.
• Establish and maintain relationships with clients, and internal teams.
• Anticipate and proactively solve problems, external and/or internal.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently maintaining a command of details, timelines, and next steps. In addition to follow up that the above has been achieved.
• Ensure all new product launch activity has been fulfilled and internal and external needs are met.
• Promptly prepare and submit costs and process quotes in Job Boss in response to customer RFQ’s.
• Represent Laser Dynamics at trade shows or customer facility visits.
• Develop and maintain long term agreements or stocking agreements.
• Support manufacturing when required.
• Ensure the development and maintenance of company standards and resources for estimating services.
• Promptly respond and resolve any issues that may arise from customers, vendors, suppliers, and any internal issues.
• Facilitate effective communication and efficient resources within the engineering group.
• Collaborate with other department managers on company continuous improvement items.
• Exhibit individual time management skills.
• Incumbents break down information obtained from specifications, sketches, customer layout drawings, and instructions furnished by others and convert the information into detailed drawings with dimensions.
• Incumbents have responsibility for coordinating with others to determine whether drawings can be executed efficiently and within expected tolerances, although at this level questions are less frequent due to knowledge and experience.
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures of sheet metal fabrication.
• Supervision is limited, but work may be reviewed by peers or by more experienced staff as a quality procedure.
• Generates detailed mechanical drawings, solid models, bill of materials, jigs & fixtures as needed.
• Some time may be devoted to providing technical help to less experienced staff.
• Necessary C.A.D. skills - Recent Solid works Sheet Metal & AutoCAD experience.
• Necessary computer skills - Proficient with Microsoft Office products, nesting software.
• Comprehensive understanding of drafting practices and blueprint reading.
• Consistently exhibit appropriate attendance habits, working the hours necessary to perform the job.
• Facilitate and maintain company key performance indicators as required.
• Up-to-date understanding of the industry’s consumer behavior.

Requirements

• 3-5 Years’ production manufacturing experience
• 3-5 Years’ project management experience.
• Experience in Costing breakdowns preferred.
• Past sales experience is a bonus.
• Strong computer literacy and systems experience
• Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
