The Outside Sales - Account Executive plays a crucial role in driving revenue growth for the company by overseeing all outside sales activities related to a diverse and intricate event rental product lineup. This position serves as the frontline representative responsible for promoting our product and brand to potential customers. The primary responsibilities of the Outside Sales - Account Executive include formulating and implementing plans and strategies to cater to existing customers while surpassing profitability targets, acquiring new business, and expanding the current customer base. Strong relationship management skills are essential as this role serves as the main point of contact for customers. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, complex sales environment as part of a sales team is vital for success in this position.
To effectively carry out this role, an individual must be capable of fulfilling the following responsibilities to a satisfactory level:
- Develop and implement a sales strategy for the designated market to achieve company sales objectives and profitability.
- Stay informed about competitors' offerings, pricing, advertising, and promotions. Contribute ideas for new products, services, pricing, merchandising strategies, promotions, etc.
- Gather and utilize business intelligence to support sales calls, presentations, and drive new business opportunities.
- Establish and expand a pipeline of new clients by effectively promoting our brand and comprehensive product line.
- Foster relationships with existing clients, understand the depth of their partnership, and anticipate their rental needs for future events.
- Consult with customers to identify the type of event and provide suitable recommendations for equipment, accessories, and services based on their requirements.
- When necessary, attend customer events and lead the coordination of setup and takedown, including optimizing labor usage and ensuring job site safety.
- Address customer service issues promptly and resolve complaints to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Analyze past events to identify lessons learned and ensure future success and customer contentment.
- Submit accurate activity reports within specified timelines.
- Perform other assigned duties as required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite and CRMs related to hospitality (Salesforce and Point of Rental).
- Adapts to new technologies.
- Preferred qualifications include a four-year degree in business, sales, or marketing. A demonstrated history of accomplishment and success, along with three to five years of experience in outside sales (both business-to-business and business-to-consumer) or a proven track record of successful customer-facing engagements. Ideally, the candidate should possess experience in the hospitality, managed services, or advertising sectors.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
