Job Description:


ARDEX Americas ([please apply online] is the Global industry leader in the manufacturing and development of high-performance specialty building materials.

We are immediately hiring for a SALES PROFESSIONAL, to join our OHIO VALLEY TEAM, with a concentration and home base location of Indianapolis or Cincinnati.

You will be a highly motivated sales professional with a proven track record of developing and delivering new sales business opportunities with commercial contractors, installers, architects, and ARDEX distributor partners, through job site visits, cold calls, professional presentations, and a solution driven, “customer first” approach.

This is a field sales position with daily travel throughout the territory with some overnight.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive, develop, promote, and grow sales of ARDEX products and systems throughout territory
  • Develop and maintain solid working relationships with distributors, contractors, specifiers, and other key business influencers
  • Retain current accounts and prospect new business opportunities
  • Successfully launch and promote new products via hands on product demonstrations, presentations & professional product displays
  • Collaborate with Corporate resources such Technical, Customer Service, Marketing, Logistics etc., to deliver exceptional standards of service to ARDEX customers
  • Drive lead generation through jobsite visits, lead generation services, cold calls etc.
  • Develop and successfully execute field sales action plans
  • Achieve and exceed targets, goals, and objectives, as established with Sales Manager
  • Represent ARDEX as an industry leader through exceptional professional standards, and a 'customer first' approach.

Experience and Skills:
  • Minimum 5 years outside sales experience and / or minimum 5 years knowledge of building materials industries is required
  • Knowledge of flooring installation systems is highly desirable
  • Must be able to conduct product presentations and demonstrations confidently and professionally
  • Must be able to operate non power and power tools. Demonstrates good mechanical or hands-on skills to meet the needs of intensive and physically demanding field support and service
  • Technically proficient. Familiar with architectural specifications and construction design elements
  • High level of energy and enthusiasm for the business and be customer-driven and professional
  • Excellent communication skills written and verbal. Able to make sound business decisions, influence, be assertive and close a sale
  • Proficient in digital systems: Microsoft Word, Email, Internet, PowerPoint, and CRM systems
  • Self-starter. Able to use initiative, work and adapt to a fast paced and changing market

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. Must be able to travel throughout assigned territory as per advertised amounts, including some overnight
  • Must be able to lift to 70 pounds on occasion, with a carrying capability of 55 pounds.

Education

  • Minimum four (4) year college degree or greater is preferred, or minimum high school diploma with relevant industry work experience
