Position:

Manages assigned landscape maintenance accounts within the company’s service area. Acts as primary point of contact with account clients. Schedules work and manages landscape maintenance staff assigned to accounts. Develops/provides bids and proposals to clients and/or Business Development.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create budgets for clients annually. Ensure contract specifications are met and that work is appropriately documented. Respond to client needs and schedule work accordingly. Provide timely updates to company software to maintain database.
• Schedule work to meet contractual specifications and established labor budgets. Direct irrigation operations for client base. Coordinate landscape maintenance staffing with Maintenance Manager.
• Supervise the work of all landscape crew members within assigned client projects. Ensure that all assigned staff receive safety training and on-the-job training. Manage employee performance, providing clear expectations and timely feedback. Conduct regular performance appraisals; recommend pay changes, promotions, demotions and other employment status changes. Make recommendations for employee participation in classes, seminars, certification, etc., in accordance with Avid’s commitment to employee development.
• Ensure that materials (tools, fertilizers, etc.) are available on time and in quantities needed for assigned crews. Ensure that all trucks and equipment used by assigned crews are properly maintained and in good working order. Communicates equipment needs to Maintenance Manager, as appropriate.
• Contribute to Company sales and growth objectives. Assess landscape needs of existing and potential clients; develop bids and proposals for landscape renovations, enhancements and horticultural services. Forward sales leads to Maintenance Manager. Assist Maintenance Manager departments with preparation of labor budgets for proposals.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Required:

• Minimum 3 years of horticulture or landscape related experience is required.
• Valid Washington State Driver’s License, and acceptable driving record
• Commercial Pesticide Operator’s license
• Landscape Industry Certified Technician or Certified Professional Horticulturalist
• Demonstrated experience in successfully managing labor budgets, staff and operations
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Demonstrated ability to put together bids/estimates and proposals for landscape projects.

Preferred:

• Certified Landscape Irrigation Auditor
• Certified Arborist
• EcoPRO Certified Sustainable Landscape Professional
• Proficient in Spanish

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
