Sam Tell, one of the largest restaurant and food service equipment and supplies dealerships in the nation, is currently seeking a motivated, experienced, professional, and highly skilled Customer Service Representative.

The qualified candidate will have distribution or manufacturing experience to support the Supply/Distribution division which services restaurants, hotels, schools, universities, state, local & federal government customers nationwide. This position is full-time in-office at our Farmingdale, New York location.

Job description

Essential Functions:

• Process bid requests including quote creation and paperwork required for submission
• Follow up and maintain records of bid results
• Sales order entry
• Follow up on existing orders and communicate timelines to customers
• Professionally handle incoming requests from customers and ensure that issues are resolved in a timely manner
• Create and maintain customer records by updating account information
• Troubleshoot customer issues
• Sort, file, and maintain filing systems for efficient recordkeeping and easy retrieval
• Complete assignments and projects according to instructions
• Handle requests for information and data
• Continuously evaluate and identify opportunities to drive process improvements that positively impact the customer’s experience

Qualifications:

• ERP/Order Entry proficiency
• Experience in selling to or servicing government agencies is a plus
• Strong computer skills, well-versed in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Teams
• Associate degree preferred
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
• Strong decision making and analytical abilities
• Excellent organization and filing skills
• Possess a strong work ethic and team player mentality
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under time-sensitive deadlines
• Willing to learn new processes and becomes an information source for Government Sales

Salary based on experience

Hours of Operation: 8am-5pm
