About us
Sales Manager – BRAND NEW STAYBRIDGE SUITES - Downtown Winter Haven, FL
The *BRAND NEW* Staybridge Suites in beautiful Downtown Winter Haven, is seeking a Sales Manager to conduct the day-to-day sales and market activity to drive revenue, through account management, new business and prospecting while building awareness of hotel and brand in the local community.
We are managed by Waterview Hospitality LLC which is based in St Petersburg, FL and welcome anyone with a can-do attitude to our team. We expect all employees to do whatever it takes to get the job done the right way for our guests and our employees.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform 60% outside sales calls to develop leads.
- Soliciting and cultivating account leads from group meeting/event planners and decision makers. Develop sales plans and strategies to meet or exceed room night and revenue goals.
- Represent the property with prospective customers to provide necessary information on facilities and services and to determine levels of interest.
- Respond to customer inquiries, RFPs, and leads in an efficient and expeditious manner.
- Manage and negotiate account details and contracts so all pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are complete and documented.
- Maintain the appropriate contact and follow up to manage the sales process to a definitive decision.
- Schedule flexibility to ensure availability during prime selling times and hotel demands.
- Timely follow-up on sales leads and follow-up with clients.
- Full understanding of market segmentation, yield and inventory management.
- Conduct weekly sales meetings with all department heads to review all upcoming business.
- Community networking and involvement.
Required Skills:

- Working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

- Revenue Management Knowledge
- Ability to analyze multiple forms of data
- Experience with OPERA or similar operating systems
- Prefer 3 years’ hotel experience in a Sales Manager or Sales Coordinator role
