What you will do:
The Mobile Field Sales & Service Consultant's primary responsibilities are in the servicing of existing members through issue resolution and product consulting as well as in obtaining new and renewal business.
This role is part of a travelling unit that will drive a company-owned mobile vehicle each day from the Florida Blue Center to various events and locations in surrounding counties four days a week (10-hour days).
- This role will travel to the following counties: Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, and Walton.
Important To Know
- Must reside in Pensacola, FL, or surrounding area
- 100% mobile and client facing position, driving a company owned mobile sales office vehicle throughout surrounding counties selling health insurance
- Your regular work site(s) will vary daily and will be within the surrounding counties
- Flexibility to work Monday – Friday 8:00am – 7:00pm and occasional weekends and overnight stays during peak times of the year
- Must Obtain 240 Insurance License within 60 Days of Hire
- Must have a Valid Class E State Driver's License

- Provide friendly service experience for customers with questions or issues related to healthcare, health insurance or related topics.
- Resolve member issues including all product and billing inquiries
- Educate members on self-service tools
- Guide members to value based providers
- Host Customer Video Appointments
- Generate leads for new sales and sales of replacement and add-on products
- Generate referrals from existing client base
- Identify and contact at-risk customers; develop and execute retention strategies with solutions that meet customer needs
- Using lead management tools, contact prospects for sales opportunities
- Set appointments for sales visits
- Process retention consultations
- Sell health and ancillary insurance products to Florida individual consumers and small groups
- Analyze prospect needs and match to BCBSF products
- Conduct plan comparison and analysis for existing members seeking new solutions
- Facilitate application process and perform field underwriting; advise customers of eligibility, rates, and riders as appropriate
- Monitor enrollment process in partnership with Direct Sales’ Senior Advisor
- Promote and facilitate APO enrollment and set-up
- Review with and deliver product fulfillment materials to customers
- Ensure new customers receive orientations/information regarding self-service and shopping tools, incentives and value-added features and information
- Perform outbound call campaigns for Under 65 and Over 65 segments

- Help ensure all customers (walk-in, telephonic or electronic) are warmly greeted, their needs are
What you will need:
Experience:
- 3+ years related work experience in a sales and service environment
- High school diploma or GED
- State of Florida 2-40 License Upon Hire
- Valid State Driver's License Upon Hire
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience using MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Internet, and web-based tools
- Work flexible hours to include evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Agents employed with Florida Blue are permitted to schedule appointments with Florida Blue, USAble, FCL and Health Options.
- No other health and life appointments are to be scheduled with any other company while employed with Florida Blue.
Licenses and/or Certifications:
- State of Florida 2-40 license or the license must be retained within 60 days
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field Marketing, Sales
- Experience with health insurance products to include individual and group plans
- Experience in outdoor sales/marketing events is a plus
- Experience with health insurance products to include individual and group plans
- Bilingual in Spanish/English

General Physical Demands
- Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently to move objects.
- Setting up, using, and breaking down small pop-up tents, folding table/chairs, portal outdoor signages
- Must be able to travel to multiple locations for work (i.e., travel to attend meetings, events, conferences).
- Constantly may be exposed to outdoor weather conditions of cold, heat, wet, and humidity.
- Constantly may be exposed to outdoor or warehouse conditions of loud noises, vibration, fumes, dust, odors, and mists.
- Must be able to ascend and descend ladders, stairs, or other equipment.

Hourly Pay Range: $18 - $27
Typical Hourly Pay Range: $18 - $22
Final pay will be determined with consideration of market competitiveness, internal equity, and the job-related knowledge, skills, training, and experience you bring.
