Job Description Summary:
Want to break into sales in the Wine & Spirits industry? Join us as a Sales Associate at Republic National Distributing Company on our Seattle Express Store team. Starting pay at $22 and a $1,000 sign on bonus!

As an Express Store Sales Associate, you will receive and monitor incoming product from the warehouse. This position maximizes the sale of supplier brands to licensed retail customers through effective account management and communication resulting in the achievement of company and supplier programs and objectives.
Job Description:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a Sales Associate you will work with Bar Owners, Restaurant Managers and Sales Representatives. This position will receive cash, checks and credit card payments from licensed customers and sales representatives in payment for goods sold at Express Stores.
  • Ensure that each customer is greeted and receives outstanding customer service
  • Merchandise, put stock away, restock shelves
  • Receive and monitor incoming product shipments
  • Inventory product and present results to management of present and new distribution received
  • Accurately operate the cash register, accept payments, make change, provide receipts and invoices, perform end of day processes, secure funds, and process daily reconciliation
  • Prepare reports involving sales and inventory by type, size and quantity
  • Assist customers with their product orders
  • Quote prices and accurately describe items
  • Clean and maintain store to allow for a safe and efficient work environment
  • Build displays and maintain POS (point of sale) marketing materials
  • Develop and maintain positive, cooperative, and team-oriented relationships and communication with managers, co-workers, and customers
  • Perform retail duties: loading customer vehicles, weekly and annual inventory, verifying accuracy of customer orders, returns, and general office tasks
  • Ongoing learning on products and industry related topics
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Accurately clock in and out, adhering to state labor laws
  • Demonstrate behaviors consistent with those of the Company’s Core Values at all times
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 1+ years of retail, grocery, inventory, or cash-handling experience
  • Strong sales and customer service skills
  • Good interpersonal communication
  • Comfortable learning computer software
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks
  • Problem solving and reasoning capabilities
  • Ability to work with management, colleagues and customers throughout the business and industry at every level
  • Dependable and trustworthy
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly
  • Walk, stand, climb, balance, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl daily
  • High School Diploma, or equivalent
  • 21+ years of age
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience with Oracle
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Excel
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Sales experience, negotiation and objection handling skills. Ability to utilize customer profile and information for sales
  • Beverage Alcohol Industry Experience
  • Merchandising & Display Experience
  • General knowledge of industry products
  • Knowledge of Customers & Sales Channels: On Premise (Restaurants and Bars) and Off Premise (Grocery stores, Markets and Convenience Stores)
The typical pay range for this role is $18.06 to $22.58 per hour. Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.
RNDC offers a complete Benefits Package including access to: Medical, Dental, Vision, Short Term Disability, Employee Assistance Program, Health Savings Account, and 401k.
New hires will accrue 80 vacation hours per year as well as 7 holidays per year (after one year 8). Associates accrue paid sick time at one hour per 40 hours worked. RNDC complies with all state and local laws where applicable.
