Full description of the position

We are currently seeking a full-time Events Coordinator to plan and execute a variety of events to include weddings, corporate events, family dinners, and social events.

The event coordinator should have a love for special event management, be highly creative, provide outstanding customer service, be an enthusiastic professional, and be able to build relationships with customers and vendors.

Salary: $50,000 plus commission based on contracts and filled obligations

Event Administration:

- Keeps track of event finances including deposits and final payments from client, invoicing, requesting checks for facility fees and /or vendors if applicable.

- Prepares and modify event contracts/proposals as needed and distributes event information departments and records/requests event staffing requirements.

- As a Events Manager, you would be responsible for soliciting, securing and responding to customer inquiries regarding the purchase of food and beverage and use of event facilities and continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability

- Host and entertain clients, conduct property tours, promote facilities and services and draft contracts

- Respond to special guest requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner

- Create & design menus of events to maximize revenue and event experience

- Assists with event food production, ordering food items needed for events, assist with setting up event space, and cleanup after events.

Qualifications:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including writing, reading, proof reading skills, and speaking.

- Ability to manage multiple projects

- Highly organized and detailed oriented.

- Ability to accomplish projects with little supervision

- Fantastic customer service ethic and high expectations for quality.

- Team -oriented and works collaboratively to achieve team goals

- Ability to work weekends and/ or evenings

- Thrives under pressure and in an environment of rapid change while maintaining a positive disposition.

- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in catering/ sales experience.

- Proficient using MAC, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word.

- Knowledge of dietary restrictions and the ability to come up with menus accordingly

- Understanding of safe food handling policies and procedures

- Time management and organizational skills
