Now Hiring - Educational Maintenance Sales Representative in North Kansas City, MO

The School Maintenance Sales Representative purpose is to identify educational and school maintenance market sales leads and prospect for selling opportunities throughout the United States. Purposely, the role executes the selling process to existing and potential new educational sales customers; to provide after-sale support and customer service obligations as well as to interface and collaborate with internal Stuppy departments to ensure the execution of the delivery and installation process. The position will execute this purpose by directly supporting the mission and values of Stuppy, being guided in their decision making and behaviors toward achieving the common goals of the organization.

Essential Functions:

• With a focus on the educational market, identify opportunities with both new and existing customers for upgrades, maintenance and re-covers of both Stuppy and non-Stuppy products.
• Properly craft customer orders to establish all product specifications, deadlines, credit opportunities, schedules, and anything else inherent to the execution of the respective purchase order
• Make regular, planned on-site visits to existing customers and new prospects.
• Oversee the communication of specifications and production requirements to engineering, production, project management accounting, etc.
• Oversee the movement of orders from the selling process into the production and delivery process
• Respond to customer questions, concerns, complaints and to provide customers with status updates on both production and delivery schedules
• Other duties as assigned

Experience:

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

• BS degree in business, engineering or other relevant discipline or equivalent experience
• 2-5 year’s experience in a sales environment, specifically in construction or mechanical engineering,
• Maintain a high level of integrity pertaining to all Stuppy processes and values
• Practiced awareness of the production and installation construction processes
• Technical knowledge of design, development, material acquisition and greenhouse construction preferred.
• Awareness of independent school district RFP and purchasing processes preferred
• Strong math aptitude
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
• Written and oral communications aptitudes essential to the movement of information across and to interested parties.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office modules

Standard office with manufacturing environment. While performing the duties of the position, the employee is constantly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms with medium work that includes moving objects up to 50 lbs. They may be frequently exposed to loud noises and bright light. Vision perception is normal for administrative duties.
