We provide a combination of sound advice and unparalleled customer service while making the process of buying insurance easy and enjoyable. We are looking for an Insurance Account Representative with excellent customer service skills to join our growing team.

This position is hybrid with 1-2 days on-site in our Tampa office (near Westshore).

JOB SUMMARY

The Insurance Account Representative is the first point of contact for clients, prospects, vendors, and other external customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Answer all incoming calls, voicemail inbox, and handle in/outgoing mail
• Collect and distribute new client lead information to sales agents in a timely manner
• Manage agency email inbox and eFax inbox in a timely manner
• Prepare policy requotes and explain the best insurance choices to existing clients
• Detailed focus on renewal process of existing book of business to ensure client retention
• Keep detailed records of customer transactions in agency management system
• Respond to questions or complaints of customers, refer them to other staff members when needed, and follow up on client interactions
• Assist agency principal and agents as requested

EDUCATION & TRAINING

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s Degree preferred.
• Bilingual preferred

• Intermediate-level competency in all Microsoft Office products

EXPERIENCE

• 2+ years Customer Service experience in an agency setting
• Experience with Hawksoft Agency Management System or similar Agency Management System (preferable, but not essential)

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS

• Licenses: 2-20 General Lines (Property & Casualty) or 20-44 Resident Personal Lines

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
