Full description of the position

EXCEPTIONAL Metals is looking for a results-driven Company Sales Representative with excellent interpersonal skills to actively seek out and engage customer prospects. The candidate should be located or willing to relocate to the Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas area. The candidate will provide complete and appropriate solutions for every customer in order to boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels and profitability.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Develop and support a network of independent roofing contractors to increase sales of Exceptional Metals product line in the assigned territory.
  • Call on and educate a base of architects and roofing consultants that are located in the assigned territory with the goal of having Exceptional Metals specified on projects.
  • Prospect and meet with building owners in the assigned territory to make a potential sale of Exceptional Metals products for their buildings.
  • Introduce new product lines to the marketplace / via self-developed “go to market” or company driven strategies
  • Implement Company developed strategies and initiatives
  • Home based position with regional / local travel required, will be making sales calls on the road a minimum of 4 days per week in assigned territory
  • Travel will be required
  • Ability to manage multiple projects

Skill Requirements:

  • Excellent interpersonal, written and spoken communication skills
  • Outside sales experience is required
  • Experience with outside metal roofing sales is highly desired
  • Background in and knowledge of construction and metal roofing systems desired
  • A background of working with roofing / construction contractors is highly desired
  • Ability to read contract specifications and drawings
  • Sales prospecting
  • Time and Territory Management
  • Sales presentations and demonstrations
  • Associate’s degree in Sales, Business, Marketing OR 3+ years of related field experience
