About the Role
Ambassador is seeking a Business Development Manager to cultivate, expand and grow new opportunities in higher education and K-12 schools in the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors. Primary Responsibilities
- Develop, execute and oversee a business development strategy that prioritizes growth and a positive customer rating.
- Lead the sales team to research, identify and drive new digital marketing initiatives.
- Be involved in customers’ entire sales cycle.
- In collaboration with existing clients, develop marketing plans to support growth initiatives, including cross-sell/upsell and retention strategies.
- Assist in management of the CRM software database.
- Gather and analyze data on key competitors.
- Participate in and travel to sales events, meetings and tradeshows/conferences.
- Review and create RFPs.
- Work with internal teams to price solutions for open opportunities.
Job Requirements
- Three to five years of work experience as a business development manager, sales executive or other relevant role, preferably in Education sales.
- Proven sales track record.
- Knowledge of competitive landscape preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to create and deliver effective presentations.
- CRM, Adobe and Microsoft Office.
- Travel as required to meet prospective and existing clients and attend industry conferences. Work outside normal business hours as needed to cover sales opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or education, Master’s degree a plus.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $96,000.00 per year
