The Territory Sales Manager is a member of the sales and marketing team, and collaborates with Walker Auto and Truck leadership. SUMMARY

The Territory Sales Manager (TSM) is responsible leading sales strategy and a team of sales representative within their key territory in conjunction with Walker Auto & Trucks district leadership teams and sales framework. The TSM will report directly to the Vice President, Sales and Marking and will work alongside the district team to achieve district goals. Responsibilities include working with key customers, partnering with Store Managers to grow a loyal customer base, as well as training store personnel on current sales programs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop Sales Strategy:
    • Develops sales strategy in collaboration with leadership team
    • Stay up to date on industry trends to ensure sales strategies alignment so that Walker remains competitive
    • Incorporates research findings to make recommendations for improvement
    • Initiates and facilitates sales meetings in the district
    • Consistently communicates with Store Managers and Sales and Service Representatives to provide relevant and timely information on current sales programs and training.
    • Develops and maintains constructive and cooperative working relationships
    • Works collaboratively with DM, to achieve sales forecasts and closing schedules
    • Frequently travels with DMs, Store Managers and Sales and Service Representatives to visit key customers to help present sales and loyalty programs

  • Implement District Sales Strategy:
    • Build strong partnerships with customers and store personnel
    • Ensure Store Managers accountability for executing sales goals
    • Provide strategic guidance, training and task specific action plans to store team
    • Negotiates, communicates and facilities interactions with manufacturers
    • Collaborates with District Managers and Store Managers to resolve issues and provide exceptional customer service
    • Ensures superior customer service by all teams and managers
    • Represents Walker Auto at marketing events, providing expert knowledge and positive professional engagement with prospective customers and the public
    • Performs other duties as required

  • Continuously Develop KNOW HOW:
    • Utilize NAPA and Walker training programs
    • Stay up to date on all services, products and parts available through Walker Auto & Truck
    • Actively participate in company training opportunities, including but not limited to NAPA corporate events, manufacturer training classes, etc.

  • Education and/or Experience:
    • Bachelors Degree or Associates Degree, or equivalent experience.
    • Sales or marketing leadership experience preferred.

  • License/Certification:
    • Valid NC Drivers License
