Full description of the position

We are seeking an energetic and motivated Business Development Manager to join our World Class Team.

You will be hired to oversee the business development and internet operations of the dealership following our corporate structure. As the Business Development Manager, you will maintain an adequate system of lead generation, lead follow, and accountability to established processes. You will be required to maintain the budget and benchmarks related to your internet and marketing spending. You must have a Comprehensive understanding of all processes using the ILM and CRM tools provided.

In addition, a strong methodical employee and customer service focus will assist the dealership in ensuring BDC sale transactions are processed accurately and in a timely manner. You will have training and support available to ensure your success.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 year prior Automotive Sales Manager or equivalent Business Development Manager call center experience with proven leadership and coaching abilities and a desire to grow.

Business Development Manager Responsibilities:

  • Assure compliance of policies with regard to all store ILM and BDC and associated sales transactions and related procedures
  • Maintain business development sales associates accounts, leads in process, and appointment setting processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to appropriate staff.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Provides support to employees and sales managers in the handling of all BDC sales resource related activities, which may include customer relations, fielding employee, customer questions/concerns, and/or communication and interpretation of policies and procedures.
  • Oversees workflows, processes, and administration, recommending ideas for improvement and changes.
  • Other tasks and duties that may arise to meet Dealership's business needs.
  • In partnership with the Sale Managers, General Manager and/or field/corporate managers, supports the resolution of employee performance issues. Ensures appropriate corrective action steps are taken, including coaching, disciplinary action, and/or Performance Improvement Plans.
  • Initiates and conducts timely review of BDC employee results, specific benchmark monitoring, and assists in preparing documentation and making recommendations for appropriate action regarding sales results and work-related issues.
  • Prepares and documents the monthly results plan detailing the plan of action, and results as outlined per previous monthly business forecast expectations.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
