Job summary: Samuels and Son Seafood, the nation’s leading purveyor of fresh and frozen seafood has a unique and exciting opportunity for a Van Driver/Sales Assistant. This position is designed to operate a delivery van to deliver seafood and related items to customers within the delivery area and provide support to their sales team. . Summary of essential job functions: Functions include, but not limited to the following:

· Prior to the trip, inspects vehicle including visual inspection of tires, windshield, and equipment.

· May check fuel gauges and record mileage.

· Receives delivery list from sales team and transports seafood to customers in their team’s territory.

· May transport items to customers such as restaurants, grocery stores, casinos and institutions.

· Utilizes delivery manifest to select items to be delivered from a refrigerated trailer.

· Enters orders on billing and order system

· Able to communicate comfortably and effectively with a diverse group of customers

· This person may accept payment or signature for items delivered.

· Checks items against customer order and notes any discrepancies.

· Producing price sheets and call sheets

· Conducts outbound calls for customer orders

Minimum Requirements:

· High School Diploma or GED

· Valid driver’s license with clean MVR and Background

· Must be able to lift up to 40lbs.

· Should be comfortable driving a van

· Must have customer service experience

This position is designed to provide support to a sales department exclusively. Additional responsibilities may include coordinating the submission of proposals, planning meetings, tracking sales progress, troubleshooting minor technical problems, maintaining department database records, and serving as a liaison between traveling sales representative and staff based in the home office. Hours of work can be between the hours of 6 am- 5 pm with limited overtime.

Summary of essential job functions: Functions include, but not limited to the following:

· Answers questions concerning any products customers may be interested in.

· Enters orders on billing and order system.

· Invoices orders once they have shipped.

· Conducts outbound calls for customer orders.

· Able to talk to customers comfortably and main excellent customer service

· Receives and writes orders as they come over through voicemail and email.

· Fields a multitude of calls, both incoming and outgoing calls while taking orders over the phone from accounts.

· Uses Microsoft office to produce price sheets and call sheets.

· Occasionally works in warehouse assisting truck loading and checking products for quality.

Minimum Requirements: High School diploma or GED required Must have a working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) Must have customer service experience Must be able to adapt and work in a fast paced environment
