Summary: The Milwaukee Bucks Senior Vice President, Ticket Sales and Service (SVP) is responsible for the planning and implementation of all sales and service activities related to generating ticket revenue for the Milwaukee Bucks and all premium revenue for Fiserv Forum (Suites, Lofts and other premium products). This role leads a team responsible for new sales and (plan sales, group sales and premium sales) renewal efforts for the organization. The SVP will be a strategic thinker to evolve sales and service strategies and a developer of people and institute a culture of growth and development within the ticket sales and service organization. The selected individual will be a member of the Operating Committee and instrumental in determining the strategic direction of the entire business across all entities and platforms.
Responsibilities:- Lead the Ticket Sales and Service and Premium Sales and Service teams in the development and implementation of strategic plans to drive revenue growth and achieve business objectives.
- Coach the Vice President of Ticket Sales and Service to maintain and grow revenue from all ticketing sources for the Milwaukee Bucks and Fiserv Forum while enhancing service areas and improving the fan experience.
- Coach Vice President of Premium Sales and Service to maintain and grow Premium revenue while effectively implementing innovative premium member activations and cultivating outstanding member relationships.
- Collaborate routinely with the CMO on the marketing plan for ticket sales and service initiatives to create and run a year-long calendar of all key sales and marketing initiatives.
- In conjunction with the CMO, work with the VP, Business Strategy & Analytics to:
- Develop a more detailed data-driven understanding of our fans and their consumer preferences;
- To analyze and thoughtfully apply that knowledge in our sales and marketing approach to drive alignment and optimize our customer acquisition cost and long-term value equations and;
- To measure and communicate our effectiveness and adapt accordingly.
- Partner with General Manager of Fiserv Forum and Senior Vice President of Booking to drive an increase in both private event sales and ticketed event sales.
- Develop a culture of open, positive, and productive communication and mutual support both within and among direct report departments and executives, and with other executives and departments throughout the organization.
- Collaborate and consult with executives across the organization to maximize potential business opportunities throughout the company.
- Establish processes for direct reports to ensure that the revenue goals, budgets, forecasting, client prospecting, client services, analytics and data initiatives are developed and implemented.
- Directly participate in closing deals with key ticketing and premium accounts as needed and in building relationships to drive business initiatives for future success.
- Recruit coach, cultivate, inspire, mentor, and motivate the sales and service teams within the organization; develop and maintain external relationships that keep the sales and service talent pipeline full.
- Collaborate with CFO to ensure departmental financial reporting is accurate and timely.
- Engage with Operating and Management committees to help create and implement company strategies and corporate planning initiatives.
- Collaborate with the President, Executive Vice President, Business Operations, and other executive team members to review achievements and discuss modifications of goals or objectives resulting from current status and conditions.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university in sales, marketing, business administration or equivalent number of years of experience.
- Five (5) years of related experience, including management experience.
- Self-starter with a creative mind, strategic ideas, and a focus on achieving and sustaining excellence.
- Strategic and innovator thinker with experience formulating and driving ongoing marketing and advertising plans in a highly competitive environment.
- Open, accessible, outgoing sales-oriented individual comfortable presenting to senior management and developing/building strong relationships with community, civic and media entities.
- Demonstrated creativity and flexibility in the development and implementation of innovative and effective sales, ticketing, and marketing campaigns.
- Excellent communications skills including oral, written and presentation; ability to express ideas clearly and concisely to both senior and junior team members.
- Excellent leadership skills combined with outstanding management skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Sharp attention to detail and ability to lead multiple projects within deadlines and budget.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, team-oriented environment is a must.
- Ability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, holidays.
- Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office software suite of products.
