Director of Business Development

Visiting Nurse Association of Philadelphia is seeking a talented individual to join our leadership team as the Director of Business Development. In this role, you have responsibility for growth of the agency’s service lines, including home health, hospice, and palliative care, by developing and enhancing collaborative referral source relationships including acute and subacute inpatient facilities as well as healthcare providers and community organizations. The Director of Business Development leads a team of experienced community and clinical liaisons in a variety of settings. Scope of responsibility for the position includes market analysis, development of an annual marketing plan, marketing presentations, and promotion of the VNA brand in collaboration with the VNA leadership team. Position Summary:

Responsible for leading the business development team in attainment of overall and individual business development objectives and revenue growth through relationship building, providing general education regarding the VNA continuum of services, and promoting the VNA as a premier provider of home health, hospice, and palliative care services.

Essential Functions:

• Directs all daily business development operations including providing direct oversight of design and implementation of marketing initiatives.
• Achieves business development objectives to promote revenue growth.

Knowledge and Experience:

• Two to three years of professional management or marketing field experience which includes home health or hospice care coordination/referral development.
• Possesses a future-oriented mindset with ability to identify and analyze business opportunities.
• Proficient in establishing highly effective working relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
• Highly competent in brand-building and creating content that is useful to current and potential referral sources.
• Enthusiastic and energetic approach that inspires trust among key stakeholders.
• Excellent follow up and consistent contact with referral sources and other referral decision makers.
• Outstanding people skills with ability to attract and retain top talent and to secure new business.
• Strong analytical and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in anticipating and solving problems.
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills with proficiency in storytelling and elevator speeches.
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office software.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred
