Retail Sales Commercial Sales Professional in Middleton, WI
JOB SUMMARY
We’re looking for a Commercial Sales Professional to come work in our Madison market. A great professional for this role has the ability to: maintain an understanding of our products (we’ll train you!) in order to put together the perfect bid, continuously improve and refine sales techniques, and provide great service to customers.
At Nonn’s, we offer an endless array of different careers in all types of environments! Where you start your journey with us is just the beginning of a bright future full of even more opportunities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
As a valued Commercial Sales Professional, you’ll be working independently in our Madison market based out of our Middleton store. With your knowledge of carpet, LVT, vinyl, countertops, cabinets, tile, appliances, and more, you’ll be the go-to professional for your list of contacts.
A typical day in the role: Companies that are looking for a particular request for their commercial units will put out a request to MANY companies to see who can give them the best products for their needs at the best price for them. You’ll pick up the request and put together the ultimate bid for them. This entails reviewing blue prints, then picking out samples, grabbing some catalogues to find products that meet the customer’s request and getting pricing from manufacturing reps. When you come back to the office, you’ll submit your bid and start working with your next customer.
Here’s the best part: maybe about a month later, out of maybe 30+ other commercial products companies, you’ll find out that your bid got picked up by the commercial company! You get to celebrate with your team, and the next time you drive by that building, you’ll have the pride in knowing that your work is in there.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures, and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
