We are looking for a Commercial Territory Manager in the Columbus, OH Market to help take us to the next level!

Summary/Objective

The Commercial Territory Manager is responsible for calling on contractors within the low slope roofing market to develop new and grow existing relationships, leading to increased market share and profitability in accordance with a predetermined, aggressive monthly sales budget, with set targets for sales dollars, margin dollars, and margin percentage.

  • Achieves sales and profit objectives on a consistent basis by promoting Mueller’s entire product catalog and being recognized as an expert in the commercial roofing market.
  • Continuously develops new customers and sales within the market.
  • Travels throughout designated sales territory to call on regular and prospective customers.
  • Creates loyalty among Mueller customers and sells value over price by out working the competition.
  • Reviews plan and specifications to provide pricing and make material recommendations.
  • Coordinates project delivery and setup with contractors, inside support staff and operations teams to provide the best customer service in the market.
  • Strives and works to improve sales and customer service skills while continuously improving knowledge of industry products, trends, practices and technology.
  • Assists customers with credit application process.
  • Communicates, works with, and supports inside sales staff in a team effort to provide exceptional customer service in building loyal customer relationships.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in sales, business, or marketing or three years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Requires knowledge of company’s SX Enterprise software applications and MS Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint).

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this position, he/she is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions while traveling to or visiting job sites and contractors.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee may lift and/or move up to ten pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and regular days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Additional days/hours may be warranted due to business needs.

Travel

While the Territory Manager is based out of the branch location, he/she will travel to customers, job sites, and events daily. Must possess a valid drivers’ license and provide a reliable vehicle for travel.
