Job Details:
Job Summary: Team Leader and trusted contributor to a team of Business Development professionals who identify, qualify, shape, and capture programs and product sales of Cubic solutions to U.S. or Foreign Government agency customers. This position empowers a strong leader to build and lead the execution of a growth strategy working alongside the business leaders as a trusted key interface to customers to identify successful pairings between Cubic’s offerings and customers’ needs. This role aligns to Cubic Defense’s Secure Communications business area.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Identifies “new” business opportunities.
  • Develops and executes (achieving) business plan related goals including revenue, bookings, and profit.
  • Develops and implements business area expansion plans and strategies.
  • Recommends and manages domestic and international representatives and agents.
  • Develops strategic business relationships.
  • Develops and executes opportunity specific capture plans and strategies.
  • Maintains a productive relationship with business area and associated engineering personnel.
  • Develops accurate and realistic business (bookings) forecast.
  • Develops and maintains positive customer relations.
  • Develops accurate discretionary resources requirements.
  • Prepares strategic plan for business area.
  • Develops business area advertising plan.
  • Inspires and leads Business Development Managers and Directors assigned to their Business Area.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Four-year college degree, or equivalent, in engineering, management, or marketing plus a minimum of fifteen years’ experience in the managing/marketing of electronic systems and/or products to U.S. and foreign government customers. Project/program management is desirable. Must have extensive knowledge of and experience in the domestic procurement process for complex military systems and Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) and Foreign Military Sales (FMS). Requires the ability to effectively deal with technical and management representatives of U.S. and Foreign Government and industrial customers. Must have excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills. Must be able to travel as required. Must have the ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance.
Additional Desired Capabilities:
  • Familiarity with DoD Communications solutions like data links and networks
  • Familiarity with Open Systems Architectures
  • Familiarity with “Contested Environments” aka Anti Access Aerial Denial (A2/AD)
  • Familiarity with 4th, 5th, and 6th Generation Air Platform solutions for the U.S. DoD
  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance

(San Diego only***) Targeted full-time salary $217,030 - $273,646 + benefits.
