What You’ll Be Doing
As a member of the Prime Services team, you’ll work in a fast-paced organization where you’ll make a meaningful difference in our clients’ lives. Our Prime Brokerage group seeks to meet the unique needs of alternative asset managers in North America and international firms with cross border business. As an Executive Director, you’ll be responsible for driving new business development and revenue opportunities.
You’re flexible to work hours as needed to help deliver a great client experience, which may include evenings and weekends. How You’ll Succeed
- Serve as a product ambassador and subject matter expert to hedge fund prospective clients for CIBC Prime Services across cash, synthetic, and execution business
- Drive new business development and originate revenue opportunities by means of proactive interaction with manager decision-makers, including COOs, CFOs, PMs, Directors of Operations and Heads of Portfolio Finance
- Create economic value by identifying revenue opportunities across product capabilities including securities lending, derivatives, GCF, rates, cash equities, trading and financing
- Review bespoke client requests and assess their merit in the context of the potential profitability, resource consumption and the broader Prime Services agenda
- Provide regular market information to clients on topics such as regulatory updates, industry best practices and trends, and operational alpha opportunities
- Represent CIBC at industry conferences and events; establish relationships with complementary service providers including accounting and audit firms, administrators, custodians and law firms.
- Facilitate strategic participation of CIBC senior management to strengthen overall bank relationship
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s Degree required / MBA preferred
- 15+ years with direct experience working with hedge fund managers, with a track record of client development and retention
- Track record of meeting significant hedge-fund generated revenue targets
- Keen communication, marketing and negotiation skills
- Candidate should be Series 7 and 63 registered

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $245,000 - $255,000 for the New York, NY market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component. CIBC offers a full range of benefits and programs to meet our employee’s needs; including Medical, Dental, Vision, Health Savings Account, Life Insurance, Disability, and Other Insurance Plans, Paid Time Off (including Sick Leave, Parental Leave, and Vacation), Holidays, and 401(k), in addition to other special perks reserved for our team members.
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location. Additional total compensation and benefits details will be provided during the hiring process.
