Community Relations Manager

This position develops and maintains key strategic relationships to promote awareness of the community with local influencers. Generates qualified referrals resulting in independent living lead generation and sales for the community through development and execution of marketing, outreach and public relations activities.

• Qualified applicants are required to possess a minimum 5 years of experience in public relations and/or marketing to include community outreach and presentation to various size groups, organizations and individuals with proven ability to impact sales.
• Bachelor's Degree is required.
• Must possess a valid and current driver's license.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Partners with the Sales Director, Executive Director, and corporate marketing department to identify opportunities for promoting the community (e.g., through the use of public relations and general interest articles, press releases related to the community, and local media formats).
• Leads the development, execution, and evaluation of effective marketing/public relations strategies and tactics that result in increased referrals, lead generation, and sales for the community.
• Plans, develops, and implements the design, organization, and coordination of referral source/outreach events or activities to attract and secure referrals that generate leads for the sales department.
• Represents the company and establishes relationships with business and community leaders as well as current residents.
• Conducts public speaking engagements to promote the general awareness of the community, and educate the public with regard to retirement communities and health care services using personal vehicle as necessary.
• Conducts tours of the community and helps to appropriately refer sources and prospects. Assists with prospective residents as needed.
• Supports the annual Sales and Marketing Plan to achieve departmental goals for number of sales, move-ins, and occupancy.
• Maintains resident confidentiality; complies with HIPAA regulations.
• Partners with Sales Director to assess cost/benefit of marketing strategies and tactics and recommend changes as needed
• Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills including public speaking.
• Ability to network with local community leaders, organizations, and professionals in the local market.
• Ability to work independently with excellent organization and time management skills.
• Proficient in Power Point, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
