Full description of the position
United Talent Agency’s Gaming and Esports business represents world-ranked pro athletes and streaming talent as well as blue chip brands and AAA publishers. With the ability to form partnerships with top talent and Global brands, UTA is at the forefront of the creator economy. We are looking for a detail-oriented, hard-working, client focused and creative Sales Director with strong experience selling media in the video space that will work to grow a territory and meet and exceed sales goals. The Sales Director will be a crucial member of a growing sales team that provides best in class advertising solutions to our clients. You will be a key member of the new group launching within Gaming & Esports – UTA Creator Media, working on the activation of media partnerships for endemic and non-endemic brands within the gaming & digital space.
The salary range for this role is $200,000 to $230,000 commensurate with experience and skills.
What You Will Do
- Represent UTA with a high level of integrity and knowledge and act as a resource for your media agency partners, brands and publishers
- Responsible for building and maintaining sales revenue, and when possible exceeding goals through creative and strategic selling
- Work with existing and potential clients to determine their business needs and formulate an ad sales solution
- Meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales goals
- Prospect for new business and accounts
- Focus on initiating and developing relationships with key media agencies & brands
- Track and manage buyer pipeline to exceed quarterly business goals
- Secure strategic level relationships with senior client contacts within the account list
What You Will Need
- 5+ years of significant experience selling digital video ad placements, branded content and/or content creators
- Demonstrable media agency and client relationships
- Demonstrate an ability to think creatively, sell strategically, and communicate efficiently internally and externally
- You’ve got a positive, problem solving attitude
- You’re a team-player with an outsized sense of fun
- Must be able to work efficiently and effectively under tight deadline
- Strong desire to win and to continually develop personal and professional skills
- Ability to manage stress well and juggle multiple projects and accounts simultaneously
- You’ve got a passion for games and the gaming industry
- Strong relationships with brands and potential partners in the space
- An understanding and passion for the major cultural opportunity that exists within the live streaming, gaming, esports and creator space and an unquenchable desire to learn, absorb and grow within this industry
