The Hospital Sales Director is responsible for building and leading a sales team calling on Hospitals, IDNs and associated oncology and urology centers. The Hospital Sales Director is responsible for leading and supporting the sales team in developing, communicating, and implementing strategic business plans for assigned accounts and expanding corporate relationships with key oncology and urology stakeholders. The Hospital Sales Director will collaborate extensively with Accord Biopharma internal team members (Executive Leadership, RSD’s Market Access, Marketing, Training, GPO, and Trade) to support the launch of Accord Biopharma and its products. Understanding of and ability to train and coach the team to execute on the Clinical, Economic and Organizational (CEO) business model to drive business results is a key expectation of the job. The Hospital Sales Director must have experience and demonstrated success building, leading, and developing teams and individuals in the hospital, IDNs and clinic segments. Experience working with GPOs and presenting contracts is a key role for the Hospital Sales Director.
Responsibilities:
- Hire, Train, and lead hospital sales team to develop business strategies and execute on business plans to meet territory and national sales objectives based on the CEO sales model.
- Responsible for individual and team development, retention, and performance management of hospital representatives
- Provide training, coaching, follow-up, and development
- Serve as a liaison between Accord Biopharma and EVERSANA for operational and Human Resources needs
- Review and approve expense reports; monitor compliance with expense policies as required.
- Monitor compliance regarding proper and appropriate use of approved client resources
- All other duties as assigned
Additional Responsibilities: This role also includes the following unique responsibilities:
- Determine job objectives, work methods and performance standards; review performance relative to departmental objectives discussion appraisal with each employee and performance; authorize and communicate salary changes, promotions, transfers, discipline, and discharge and administer all other personnel actions.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time with overnight travel
Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific or business field
Experience and/or Training:
- Experience launching Oncology / Urology start up teams.
- Experience building and managing C-Suite relationships.
- Demonstrated success coaching and developing teams to maximize their potential.
- Minimum of 3-5 years related oncology and/or urology experience in the pharmaceutical industry/sales/sales management (required).
- Injectable and Buy & Bill experience required
- Minimum of 3 years direct experience in a corporate/region/national/key account role.
- Minimum 3 years of sales leadership experience in the Hospital Segment.
- Successful experience leading hospital sales teams in the Oncology and Urology markets
- Experience selling clinic and hospital contracts.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically, by objectively evaluating opportunities utilizing data
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, including ability to synthesize data and deliver a clear overview of issues, challenges, solutions, and successes.
- Strong negotiation skills and business acumen.
- Strong project management skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize with clear deliverables across multiple customers in tight timelines.
- Excellent organizational skills, with ability to work both independently and as a member of a matrix leadership team.
