We are seeking a Technical Sales Administrator to perform a wide range of administrative related activities to facilitate the efficient operation of the commercial sales organization. This position requires resilience, people skills, self‐motivation, and teamwork to be successful. Qualified candidates will be able to multi-task, prioritize, work well with the team, and complete tasks efficiently. This is a technical position and tasks will include solar proposal compilation, preliminary site plans, site due diligence, knowledge of electricity / electrical equipment, financial analysis, contracts, fielding customer inquiries (whether through email, phone, or in person), and networking.
Salary
The salary range for the position is $40,000.00 to 50,000.00 USD based on knowledge, skill and experience.
Major Responsibilities of Position
· The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the sales staff is in front of customers selling, taking on the back-end support, paperwork, and administrative duties for the team.
· Compile sales reports via CRM on behalf of the Director of Commercial Sales.
· Compile customized, high-quality, and accurate $1M+ proposals given direction from sales team and customers.
· Liaison to the engineering department requesting proposals, preliminary engineering, and estimating, and making sure requests are followed through in a timely manner between departments.
· Liaison to the marketing department for lead gen strategies and networking opportunities
· Active with in-person soliciting for lead generation, as well as phone/email soliciting.
· Active in LinkedIn and other social platforms for solicitation of targeted facilities / personnel that are good fits for solar.
· Work with engineering, project management, and construction teams on projects currently being built.
· Maintain and update contact and lead lists.
· Site visits including technical customer meetings, site assessments, verifications.
· Communication with utility companies on interconnection paperwork.
· Communication with external engineering, survey, environmental.
· Attend industry events, tradeshows, and customer visits outside the normal workday hours.
· Familiarize yourself with permit applications, zoning paperwork, grant paperwork, and customer paperwork.
· Take good notes and follow through on action items from supervisor.
· Work efficiently in the software platforms as defined by company policy/methods.
· Daily travel for site photos, customer visits, collecting customer payments/paperwork, and running errands for office needs.
· Willingness for continued education and learning, including pursuit of the NABCEP certification.
· Professionally represent Harvest Solar as an ambassador to our vision, driving increased solar awareness.
· Other duties, responsibilities, and activities as assigned.

· Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
· Technical knowledge of electrical systems (single phase and three phase), simple electrical calculations, and ability to recognize/label electrical service equipment.
· Working knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
· Strong organizational, planning and prioritization skills.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Attention to detail, follow-up for results and basic problem-solving skills.
· Ability multi-task ensuring the work is completed effectively and efficiently.
· Ability to travel often running errands including site photos, collecting customer payments/paperwork, and for basic office needs.
· Proficient use of Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
· Ability to use excel to organize, evaluate and analyze technical data.
· Email etiquette and ability to learn software.
· Ability to work well individually and as part of a team.
Educational and Certification Background
· Valid State Driver’s License, required.
· Associate degree; bachelor’s degree in science or business-related field preferred.
· One year’s work experience in a business office; two years of sales, customer service, or administrative experience preferred.
· Basic knowledge of the solar PV markets preferred.
Work Environment
· Day travel up to 50% for local errands. Transportations costs are covered for travel.
· Commercial Construction Setting 50% of the time: Job Site terrain and outdoor work with exposure to weather fluctuations in addition to construction site hazards.
· Office Environment 50% of the time: Busy office with frequent interruptions and multi-tasking required; standard office equipment is available including Microsoft Office
