Sales Manager

Report: General Manager

Job Summary: The Sales Manager is responsible for the development and performance of sales activities within an assigned market. Strives to expand the company’s customer base and provides leadership and expertise towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision.

Primary Skills & Responsibilities:

SKILLS:

  • Outside sales experience with a history of consistently meeting or exceeding sales goals
  • Ability to manage all aspects of the selling cycle from negotiation to close
  • Ability to professionally communicate with company personnel and external customers
  • Highly developed interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Excellent time-management skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to operate within an individual and team environment
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Ability to independently travel, must have a valid driver license and reliable transportation

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain knowledge of capabilities and their applications in the industry. They serve to effectively communicate our ability to machine which types of parts
  • Develop, foster, and sustain relationships with new and existing customers
  • Identify customer needs
  • Effectively resolve customer concerns with solutions
  • Prepare and present quotations and proposals
  • Negotiate and close on orders at optimum prices with sales terms and conditions
  • Assist as needed in the expediting of orders to maintain positive customer relationships
  • Develop and implement tactical sales plans consistent with achieving sustainable sales growth
  • Regularly report and communicate sales forecasts, order activity, stages of negotiations, pricing levels and competitive information
  • Keep informed of significant market and industry trends as well as competitive positioning in relation to these trends
  • Coordinate customer-related sales activities to create awareness and increase sales including sales presentations, new product applications, training, and promotions
  • Other responsibilities may be added or assumed based on necessity

Education:

  • Bachelor of Business Administration or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience marketing services
