Retail Sales Account Specialist in Sioux Falls, SD
Primary responsibilities include working with customers in many aspects of the account life cycle including but not limited to ensuring all required business documentation is received, reconciling accounts, bringing accounts current, and assisting with any related accounting issues. This position is also responsible to make business to business collection calls to obtain payments, review accounts for extension of credit outside the account guidelines and other job duties as needed.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Take inbound calls from internal and external customers and make outbound calls in relation to outstanding balances, held orders, obtaining required forms, and updating account information
- Responsible for reviewing accounts for extension of credit outside the account guidelines and implementing said negotiation including terms and credit limit
- Work with customers to reconcile accounts, bring current, and assisting with any related accounting issues
- Work with customers who have skipped invoices on payments to ensure timely payments
- Work queues daily to lower exposure to risk
- Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- Must be able to use computer keyboard and company software programs
- Must be able to use 10 key adding machine, basic computer, fax machine and phone
- Monday through Friday. Hours vary
- May need to lift 25 lbs occasionally
Required Education/Experience
- 2 years of prior Collections/Customer Service experience and basic understanding of accounting
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Prior phone, keyboarding, and basic computer experience
Knowledge of Software Applications, Including:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
