SUMMARY
Utilizes company resources and software to research and find new sales leads and establish and/or maintain relationships with new and existing customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Finds new leads and entry into new markets, handing off to outside sales once a large prospect becomes an opportunity
- Utilizes all of our sales prospecting tools
- Strong focus in some of our auto and non-auto sectors
- Creates, maintains, and communicates various reports on sales activities and customer development. (Work requests report, project status report)
- Follows the KFI “sales playbook” from start to finish to help grow the sales pipeline
- Work with the company’s accounts
- Regular CRM entries for all accounts throughout each day; this includes any customer correspondence by phone, email, or any other communication method
- Maintains company data base as required for sales initiatives
- Prepares customer product expectations and price quote
- Work with Customer Service to improve back-office processes
- Obtain product and application knowledge in order to address customer needs and promote sales of new or additional services
- Create reports and correspondence for customer and department use
- Assist the Sales Department and all Sales Managers as needed during absences
- Assist Outside Sales in auto-generated reports and in any other way necessary
- Represent the company and products at occasional trade shows
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance
- Perform other job duties and assignments as requested or as business needs require

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Two years education from college or technical school, or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with other departments. Ability to prioritize, organize and manage multiple projects.
- Use of basic mathematics.
- Ability to operate a variety of office equipment with basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and Excel. High proficiency in CRM systems.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described in this section are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Most of the time will be spent in the office area; however, the employee will spend time in the production areas. The production area temperatures can fluctuate significantly based on the time of year. The noise levels can be moderate to high. The use of hearing protection and safety eyewear is required. The use of additional specific safety equipment may be required.
WORK AVAILABLITY AND TRAVEL
Must have the ability to work all shift schedules, periodic overtime and be available for periodic weekend work.
