In business for over 60 years, Continental Western Corporation is a leading supplier of an entire line of packaging and safety products in the United States. Our product line includes strapping, rope, twine, stretch film, tape, gloves and safety, janitorial products and much more. We have 9 branches across the U.S. and are seeking the perfect candidate to grow our branch in San Leandro, CA..

The Sales Manager position is very critical to the overall success of our company. We are looking for a dynamic individual who is driven to success and the rewards that accompany that success. You would be responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing the overall operations of the branch. You would also be responsible for organizing, motivating, and leading a team of sales professionals and ensuring that everyone within the team reaches their monthly and annual targets.

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, highly motivated, knowledgeable in wholesale distribution, organized and must have corrugated/packaging experience and safety experience preferred. This position is onsite and involves individual account management and sales, as well as leadership of the sales team.

Responsibilities:

Sales and sales growth

Budgeting

Gross Margins

Operational Expenses

Safety

Resolution of personnel issues

Purchasing and inventory control

The overall financial operation and profitability of the branch

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of proven sales and/or supervisory experience, preferably in the Corrugated/Packaging industry.

Strong, effective oral, written, persuasive and presentation skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and good general computer skills.

Possess excellent organizational and time management skills.

Have a “think outside of the box” mentality.

Establish rapport with a diverse group of business contacts.

Ability to lead and develop people, to multi-task and drive results

Proven leadership abilities (communication, relationship building, training & development, hiring and firing)

Compensation and benefits are commensurate with skill & experience level.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
