Job Description:

  • Qualifies leads and generates quotations based on customer inquiries or at the direction of Account Managers or other internal customers.
  • Solicits orders for products or services over the telephone, based on sales history and past business logs.
  • Informs current and prospective customers of current promotions and new or upgraded products.
  • Manages CRM system for activity and accuracy (names, addresses, equipment records, purchases, call reports).
  • Logs and documents of prospects solicited into CRM and/or quote tracking sheet.
  • Review and track customer survey results, follows up with customers to assure satisfaction, respond to queries, solicit further sales, and solve or refer problems.
  • Qualifies prospects from unsolicited inquiries from third party brokers.
  • Tracks and prepares reports on sales team activities.
  • Follow up with customers to ensure quality of support.
  • Complete, analyze and review customer profiles for business development opportunities.
  • Review customer sales order history to help identify potential sales, parts and service needs.
  • Provides outstanding customer service experience when speaking with customers.

Education and/or Experience

  • 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in the mining equipment business.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.

Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk; sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
