An exciting opportunity exists at Barnes for a Distribution Sales Manager. The Distribution Sales Manager is responsible for generating sales of the Barnes brand of products to assigned distribution partners. This includes developing and nurturing relationships at all levels of the distributors’ organizations, developing and educating their sales teams and assisting them in identifying opportunities, selecting the right products and promoting Barnes to their customers. This role will quote, strategize, prospect, and develop relationships to achieve revenue targets, maximize profits, increase market share and maintain customer loyalty while achieving organizational goals.
Core Responsibilities:
- Responsible for generating sales of AS RAYMOND products to meet monthly revenue and profit targets to assigned distribution accounts.
- Develop relationships with assigned accounts to drive awareness, education and intent of our product portfolio through virtual and traditional site visits including developing and leading product and application training.
- Primary point of contact for assigned accounts. Acts as a resource in vetting new opportunities, recommending product solutions and developing proposals. Assists with contract negotiations & closing the sale.
- Remain informed of new products, services and other general information of interest to customers. Design and implement unique programs to drive growth.
- Develop key account plans to ensure sales strategies, margin and revenue targets and customer satisfaction metrics are identified and actions set to meet the goals of both AS RAYMOND and the distribution partner.
- Collaborate with broader sales & marketing team to identify gaps in sales coverage for target markets and identify and onboard new channel partners.
- Performs duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in business-to-business sales in the industrial market.
- Experience selling through distributors preferred.
- Experience in technical sales desired.
- Ability to understand spring terminology and design, drawings, and specifications to effectively convey spring knowledge to customers.

Education Requirements:
- B.S. Degree in Engineering or Business is preferred
- Combination of education and years of experience acceptable
Experience
Required- 3 year(s): Experience in Business to Business Sales in Industrial markets
- 1 year(s): Prior experience in technical sales
- 1 year(s): Prior experience with selling through distributors
Education
Preferred- Bachelors or better in Engineering or related field
- Bachelors or better in Business Administration or related field
