Full description of the position
Finlays is seeking an accomplished Inside Sales Representative to manage sales activities from lead response to closing sales with a primary focus on creating sales opportunities in the ready-to-drink beverage market. Manage all business relationships for assigned customers and prospects. Assure all activities are handled in accordance with Finlays mission, values, ethics and goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Achieve annual revenue and sales targets.
- Safety first mindset by adhering to policies and procedures.
- Use and maintain Salesforce to prospect strategically, manage prospects and build a strong pipeline.
- Develop relationships with customers within assigned territory, ranging from small/medium businesses to larger complex organizations.
- Communicate with new people every day, developing long-term partnerships with your customers while building trust and rapport.
- Maintain understanding of customer's business, including their decision-making process, industry needs, trends, and competitive situation.
- You will work in a team-based, telephone/email-driven sales environment that favors a targeted, tactical sales approach.
- Maintain and develop customer profiles within Salesforce.
- Collaborate with other team members to share standard processes and drive account growth.
- Work cross functionally with Applications, OPS, and QA on custom projects.
- Leverage Marketing authored trends and market data presentations to provide insights to customers.
- Customer satisfaction is measured by yearly Net Promoter Score (NPS).
DESIRED BACKGROUND AND SKILLS:
Minimum 3+ years of experience with a proven track record in a fast-paced sales environment, food industry experience is a plus—OR, 2-4 years R & D / technical experience supporting outside sales.- High-energy level paired with curiosity and clear desire to learn and understand business issues in a growing company.
- Proactive, positive teammate who is adaptable and willing to tackle new challenges and risks on a continual basis.
- Excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to build relationships.
- Good team player with a strong desire for growth.
- Self-motivated and driven with the ability to effectively manage time and priorities.
- Excellent communication skills and professional phone/email presence with ability to understand client needs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skill is required. CRM or other database experience, and familiarity with web-based applications highly desired.
- Travel and work flexible hours as required.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
