Passion and skills for eyewear styling and sales is a must! Clarity Advanced Eyecare is looking to add a new teammate to our eye care family! We are currently seeking an energetic, outgoing, customer service-oriented optician/technician who is passionate about style and exceptional patient care. We are driven to provide the best vision and ocular health care to Birmingham and the surrounding communities. Our practice is well-established and multifaceted - providing high-end optical products, custom contact lenses, and medical eye care.

As an Optician/Technician at Clarity Advanced Eyecare, you will work as an important member of our heath care team, helping the team thrive, enhancing our customer experience, and supporting patients and the doctor.

Our practice has 6 office locations. There are opportunities to grow within the company at each location and with the company as a whole. We take pride in assisting employees with their goals for growth. This position is for our Birmingham location as the primary with the potential to flex to some of our other locations.

Candidate Must:

• Multi-task efficiently and effectively.
• Be proficient with software. REVOLUTION EHR helpful but not required.
• Be comfortable with computerized technology.
• Be a self-starter.
• Possess excellent phone/communication skills.
• Be detail oriented.
• Have the desire to grow a business.
• Minimum of 1-2 years optometric or ophthalmologic experience.
• Available to work 2 Saturdays a month.

Optician tasks can include, but are not limited to:

• optical sales, pricing, ordering, and dispensing
• spectacle adjustments and repairs
• patient check-in and paperwork management
• phone answering/calling and appointment scheduling
• scanning of documents
• acquiring insurance authorizations
• patient exam pre-testing
• contact lens trainings and ordering
• electronic health records experience
• payment collections and billing management
• general office, optical and exam room cleaning
• general office promotion

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
