Full description of the position

Lighting Gallery (LG) is Long Island’s premier luxury lighting showroom. A second-generation family business serving local retail customer and the design community for over 45 years.

We distribute lighting products to Residential, Entertainment, Hospitality, Industrial, and Commercial customers on Long Island and across the country.

We are looking for a qualified Sales Associate to join our team. You will provide support to customer and prospect queries. Our ideal candidate is an experienced professional with knowledge of sales and customer service best practices. We are looking for someone who excels in a team environment and has exceptional people skills.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Welcoming all walk-in showroom customers and addressing their lighting needs
• Creating sales quotations
• Processing orders placed by phone or email
• Customer support
• Customer outreach
• Updating customer records
• Interfacing with customer online portals
• Relationship building
• Technical research
• Vendor communication
• Project Management

Skills

• Must be sales / customer oriented
• Quick learner and have strong internet research skills.
• Ability to work alone and as part of a team
• Excellent verbal, written and phone skills.
• Must be customer service-minded and have problem solving skills.
• Must be computer skilled and be able to use Microsoft Office Programs.

Schedule:

• Final schedule tbd, but showroom hours are Monday-Friday 9-5 and Saturdays 10-3. Weekend shifts are required.

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
• Office: 1 year (Preferred)

Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour
