Full description of the position
Job Duties:
- Identifies new business opportunities, prepares quotes and presents them to the customer. Resolves questions and issues to close the sale.
- Conducts direct sales negotiations with customers.
- Provides technical expertise to the inside sales team by developing quotes for the special designs.
- Represents the company at trade shows and other industry events. Collects contact information for potential customers, creating opportunities in CRM while managing all assigned leads.
- Conducts end user visits to provide technical expertise and identify the best Caldwell solutions for their needs.
- Implements successful sales strategy targeting specific vertical markets and channels.
- Fields technical or product-related questions from potential and existing customers.
- Delivers internal product training to customer service reps and others with interest in learning more about the products.
- Demonstrates the company values in all work activities.
- Complies with all safety rules and requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or other related discipline or equivalent experience
- Three years technical sales experience in an industrial setting, preferably within the material handling business, demonstrating knowledge of product, channels, vertical markets and competition.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven customer service orientation toward both internal customer and end users
- Ability to build and maintain relationships at the distributor and end-user levels.
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office, AutoCad, and SolidWorks as well as a basic comfort level with technology.
- Ability to travel up to 50%
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Knowledge of crane and rigging industries a plus.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally the employee is required to exert up to 20 pounds of force.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
