Regional Sales Manager Overview

We are seeking a dynamic results-driven Sales Manager to join our fast-paced and growing meat company. As the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the sales team, developing & executing sales strategies, and driving revenue growth for our range of meat products. Your primary focus will be on building & maintaining strong relationships with existing clients while also identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. The ideal candidate for this position will have a deep understanding of the meat industry, excellent leadership skills and a proven track record in achieving sales targets. This position will have in-depth knowledge of selling strategies and methods, as well as employee motivation techniques. Will have a strong working knowledge of the company’s products, competitive products, and the market. Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal and customer service skills are critical.

Job Description:

· Lead, train, motivate, and manage a team of sales representatives to drive revenue growth and meat sales objectives.

· Maintain, manage, and expand relationships with existing and new customers as well as all Sales Representatives.

· Actively participate in sales processes, including prospecting, negotiating contracts, and closing deals with key clients.

· Provide quality leadership in building and maintaining Sales Rep/Customer relationships.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and finance to ensure effective execution of sales initiatives and maximize customer value.

· Develop and maintain a very strong relationship and partnership with the Plant Manager.

· Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer and Sales Rep needs on an ongoing basis.

· Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and reports for management, providing regular updates on sales performance, market conditions and competitor activities.

· Help Sales Reps deliver professional sales presentations to local businesses and restaurants.

· Help Sales Reps seek new accounts within our territory.

· Stay updated on industry developments, competitor activities, and emerging trends to recommend strategic business decisions.

· Actively collect feedback from Sales team members and customers to ensure the needs of all teams are effectively met.

· Facilitate Performance Review process with Sales Representatives. Clearly define top & bottom growth goals for Sales Team.

· Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network, generate leads, and promote our meat products.

· Participate in conversations to ensure alignment of sales compensation programs that drive our strategy.

· Help drive new initiatives + program opportunities in partnership with VP of Sales.

· Ensure the teams follow best practices that drive consistency and efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sales Manager or in a similar sales leadership role within the meat industry.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the industry.
  • Personable with an ability to establish and maintain strong lasting relationships.
  • Strong leadership attributes to lead by example and motivate your team.
  • Dedicated work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
