Job Description
The Manager – On Premise Territory is responsible for overseeing the daily sales plans of On-Premise Sales associates that are assigned to a geographical area and/or a specific channel of focus. They train and develop sales associates, negotiates contracts, develop effective sales strategies per their customer base, and ensure that Key Business Indicators for an assigned territory are met.
What your day will look like:

  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the UNITED policies and applicable laws
  • Interview, hire, and train associates
  • Plan, assign, and direct work
  • Appraise performance
  • Address complaints and resolve problems
  • Builds positive associate morale
  • Responsible for managing weekly/monthly performance and priority trackers
  • Conduct annual performance reviews and associates’ evaluations
  • Build valuable external relationships with existing and new customers
  • Develop and maintain winning internal customer relationships to support Sales Center and Divisional success
  • Manage key account customer needs and conduct monthly/annual business reviews
  • Manage Sponsorships
  • Assigns sale goals and strategic plans for the On-Premise sales team
  • Prepares periodic sales reporting and planning reports to support Sales Center goals
  • Develop strategic plans around channel specific priorities
  • Manage On-Premise Pricing for the Sales Center
  • Utilize company driven tools to survey in-outlet execution and priorities
  • Manage sales teams ordering, selling technologies, and create selling tools to support
  • Managing execution in National Retail Sales accounts in assigned area
  • Approve and manage equipment placements and budgets
  • Develop and manage trackers to support market execution
  • Create customer presentations, economic analysis, and draft contractual agreements
  • Responsible for managing marketing, free product, and sponsorship budgets
  • Collaborates in Full-Service Commissions and vend rates
  • Active role in Annual Planning and Annual Budget
  • Manage On-Premise Point of Sale, Capital Budget (Scoreboards) for the Sales Center
  • Contract Negotiation with Key Accounts
  • Engage local community leaders, join local Community Organizations or Public Boards
  • Support the sales team within their communities to establish value driven relationships

What you need to succeed:

  • Minimum age 18 years old
  • Valid driver’s license required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
  • Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
  • Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
  • Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to coach and manage needs and concerns of multiple associates
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
  • Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability to quickly learn internal UNITED systems, SAP, and Margin Minder and Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Frequently sit, stand, and walk as well as be able to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 lbs. or greater
