Full description of the position

• Serve as a fractional Controller, CFO, or Accounting Lead to the firms clients, with a focus on the following: Manage daily activities including the recording of revenue and expenses, general ledger account reconciliations, and the month-end close process

Foster a strong internal control and compliance environment, adhering to accounting standards
Coordinate and execute the production of monthly financial statements as well as ad-hoc financial reports
Lead the preparation of the annual budget and performance analysis of variances and financial trends
Identify potential accounting problem areas and propose solutions to the client management team
Work in collaboration with the the firms executive team and other service lines to offer complete business solutions to clients

• Exhibit project management capabilities and accountability to PYA executives to ensure successful engagement results
• Actively participate in community and civic organizations to develop new client relationships

QUALIFICATIONS:

• CPA certification or pursuit of CPA or equivalent preferred, but not required
• 6+ years of accounting experience, with a professional services firm or with medium to large businesses
• Detail-oriented with excellent project management and organizational skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Creative problem solver with a high level of strategic, analytical, and conceptual skills with a passion for helping clients
• Person of sound judgment, that can manage risks effectively and efficiently

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year

• 8 hour shift
