Entry Level Sales Associate ($35k-$45k/year base)

Exom BioPharma, Inc. is a start-up biotech company specializing in drug delivery and biomarker discovery. The company also offers contract research services and products for genomics and proteomics. We are looking for entry level or experienced sales people who would like enhance their knowledge and develop a carrier as a sales executive/business development.

Job Responsibilities & Duties

The Biotech Sales Associate is the primary lead at Exom BioPharma and will be responsible for selling kits and reagents, and contract research services to searchers at NIH, Georgetown, nearby universities and Biotech customers in MD (direct sales) and North America (via email or telephone call). Working in conjunction with other corporate resources, the Biotech Executive develops and implements a plan to grow sales and improve service levels into assigned accounts in North America. Other responsibilities include:

Achieve established sales quota.

Drive completion of projects and identify new business development opportunities in the pharma and biotech market.

Develop and implement a successful sales strategy to position and promote key services in new and established pharmaceutical and biotechnology accounts in North America.

Identify and profile key accounts.

Partner with internal departments such as project planning to manage customer expectations and meet delivery timelines.

Identify, plan and execute local promotions, trade shows, seminars and other activities designed to build sustainable competitive products and pricing.

Build relationships with customers to influence the acceptance and use of Exom BioPharma’s products and services.

Track opportunities to completion, cold call, and follow-up with previous customers for future business.

Qualifications

BS/BA degree in Biology, Chemistry or related Life Science discipline

or BS/BA degree in business or related sales discipline

Professional sales consultative selling course taken within last 2 years is considered a plus.

Proficient or general understanding of Exosome, PCR, DNA/RNA Isolation products and services.

Articulate or general understanding within area of Genomics and Proteomics

Work Environment / Other Requirements:

At Exom BioPharma our work environment varies significantly from job to job. The requirements for this position are as follows:

Travel required up to 70% of the time

Work from dedicated office located in Gaithersburg, MD
