Summary/Objective

The Account Sales Manager is responsible for the sale of the organization’s products and services within an assigned customer base designated by management. This position reports to the Sales Director.

Essential Functions:

Develop and increase sales revenue to meet assigned targets as designated by management; responsible for outside sales; closing sales, quote generation, new business generation, prospecting, consulting of technical support.

• Utilize SAP for quoting, CRM, call/visit reports, customer notes, customer profile information, price lists and new customer entry.
• Effectively manage existing and new accounts within a defined customer base designated by management.
• Generate sales reports, accurately and timely in completion.
• Develop technical industry knowledge to effectively support customer needs and business growth.
• Act as a technical resource to clients; assist with negotiations, closing the sale and developing marketing plans.
• Develop, plan, and execute effective and efficient customer visits.
• Participate in education and training conferences on selling and marketing programs.
• Work in concert with Regional Sales Managers, Customer Service and Environmental Services to support customer needs, develop a customer turnkey strategy, and develop a professional team first approach.

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or 3-5 years industrial manufacturing sales or technical experience
• Proficient computer skills in SAP and Microsoft Office
• Valid Driver’s License, reliable vehicle, and satisfactory motor vehicle report

Preferred Industry Experience:

• Cement
• Metals (Ferrous & Non-Ferrous)
• Lime, Gypsum, Aggregate, Sand
• Chemical Processing
• Pigments such as Carbon Tire
• Mining

Preferred Product Experience:

• Filter Bags
• Installation and Mechanical Service
• Cages
• Cartridges and Pleated Elements
• Various Parts and Products related to Bag Houses (Door Seal, Valves, Gauges, etc.).

Specific Skills/Competencies:

• Strong attention to detail, accuracy and safety
• Excellent communication skills with both customers and management team
• Excellent understanding and/or ability to grasp necessary technical knowledge
• Customer focused and service oriented

Position Type

• This is a full-time, exempt position.
• Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
• This position requires 25% travel.
