DAVE (Digital Audio Visual Environments), is a fast-growing division of VP Supply. We provide custom Audio-Visual solutions throughout the Greater Rochester Area, which includes design, integration and installation home theaters, home automation, security and surveillance, home networking, custom vehicle systems, and commercial installation.

Position Overview:

Our DAVE division is seeking to hire a Sales Representative with at least two years of experience to join our Rochester, NY branch.

Our home audio and television products range from home theater receivers, HDTVs, 4k Ultra HD TV, Smart Capable TV,

Curved Screen TV, LCD TV, LED TV and OLED TVs integrated amplifiers, speakers and sound bars, Blu-Ray players, headphones and more. Commercial installations include meeting rooms, restaurants and bars, commercial lighting system programming, and surveillance systems. We also sell vehicle electronics and car starters.

We are looking for high performers who are forward-looking, innovative, enthusiastic, and ambitious team players. Qualified candidates will be motivated self-starters with superb judgment and communication skills, a commitment to excellence and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate new business opportunities through cold calls and following up on leads generated from online platform.
  • Prepare sales proposals for both residential and commercial clients.
  • Provide sales forecasts detailing active projects/prospects.
  • Develop and maintain excellent customer relationships.
  • Identify and resolve customer issues that arise.

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of retail, inside, or outside sales experience. AV/IT industry sales experience is preferred.
  • Proven track record of selling B2B, a plus.
  • Knowledge of basic construction, power, and electrical concepts.
  • High level or organizational, planning and time management skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience programming A/V, Lighting Control and other types of automation systems is a plus, but not required.
  • A/V industry certification is a plus.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

  • This position is in a clerical, office setting. This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones. While a largely sedentary role, some lifting or carrying of items up to 25 pounds may occasionally be required
  • There will be required travel throughout geographical footprint on a regular basis and off hour work/overnight travel may be required.
