Full description of the position

Seco Tools is looking for a Technical Sales Engineer in the South Central, PA area to join our team. This person will promote and sell the organization’s products and services within an assigned geographic area, product range, or list of customer accounts to achieve significant sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead sales of products and services to small and medium sized customers within an assigned geographical territory.
  • Retain and grow business with existing customers and generate sales from new customers.
  • Anticipate and understand customer needs and match them with our product offering to improve customer value and sales profit.
  • Pursue sales leads; visit existing and new customers who may be of strategic importance to the organization.
  • Assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products and services.
  • Respond to more complex customer enquiries.
  • Negotiate prices and delivery times within limits of authority, and conclude sales orders to meet revenue targets.
  • Collect and communicate relevant business and market intelligence to product and sales management by using the applicable systems.
  • Establish annual, quarterly, monthly, or weekly sales plans and prioritize and schedule own activities so these targets are met.
Required Qualifications for Top Performer:
A top performer will have between 3-6 years of related cutting tool experience along with a University degree or equivalent experience that could replace a portion of the educational requirement. This problem solver will possess a strong functional and business knowledge with a queen ability to clearly communicate value, impact and demonstrate leadership.
Compensation & Benefits
Seco Tools provides a highly competitive performance-based compensation model that includes a competitive base salary and performance-based incentive model. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance plus Life and LTD/STD insurance, a 401K savings plan, and education reimbursement. This role will also include a company car, computer, iPad, and a stipend for phone and internet.
