This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Kriya Hotels. The franchisee controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including the selection and hiring process. If you accept a position at this hotel you will be employed by a franchisee.
JOB SUMMARY
This challenging position is responsible for leading the proactive sales efforts of the property while demonstrating outstanding associate and guest relations. As an essential member of the Sales department, the Director of Sales is responsible to assist in managing the Sales efforts for maintaining existing accounts and actively soliciting new business for the hotel, including business travel, group business and leisure travelers. The qualified candidate will be responsible for implementing strategies to generate revenues in order to maximize the financial expectations of the hotel. This person will work very closely with the General Manager and Assistant General Manager to maximize ADR, Occupancy and meeting room revenues for the property and must stay proactive and interact with all departments; especially Front Office and Food & Beverage.
Requirements:
Additional requirements include, but are not limited to:
- Successful candidates MUST have a minimum of 3 years of Marriott hotel sales experience.
- Must have a keen eye for detail and possess a genuine desire to provide impeccable service to our various corporate and group clients.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize to handle multiple properties at the same time.
- Must be able to work additional hours outside of the traditional work schedule (evenings, weekends and holidays) when/if business demands and be able to travel occasionally.
- Manages accounts to achieve total guest satisfaction for all events.
- Heavy client interaction, conducting regular site tours and attendance at on-site functions.
- Proactively respond to incoming leads and requests for proposals in a timely manner.
- Prepare weekly and monthly occupancy and revenue forecast reports. Assist in preparation of annual budget and strategic sales plan.
- Monitors the pricing of competitor properties, understands the dynamics of the local market and demand generators and presents appropriate actions to the General Manager.
- Utilizes yield management techniques by profitably negotiating room rates and function space commitments in order to enhance the hotel's financial performance.
- Maintains account information in the sales CRM database.
- Completion of Banquet Event Orders/contracts in a timely manner.
- Attendance at various sales-related departmental meetings.
- Develops and maintains relationships with key clients in order to produce group and/or meeting business, food & beverage sales, and catering/banquet sales.
- Accurately forecasts individual booking revenues, cancellations and consumption on all bookings.
- Supports the overall business and sales strategies of the company.
