Full description of the position

Regional Sales Representative – Job Description
Effective Date: Rev. 4/2021

Main Purpose of Position:
The fundamental purpose for this position is to grow sales and build relationships. This position will be the front-line contact between Lyndex-Nikken and the customer. This position reports to the Regional Sales Manager.

Essential Functions:
o Make regular customer visits. Follow-up on customer quotations. Use CRM.

o Perform basic relationship building on a daily basis. Identify opportunities for active sales.

o Provide technical training, or technical information to distributor sales staff. Utilize demonstration resources provided by company.

o Provide feedback reports to the Regional Sales Manager regarding customer contacts. Collect as much information regarding the sales process from distributors in the territory.

o Assist the Regional Sales Manager in the planning, forecasting, and management of the sales territory. Manage Key Account growth and engagement.

Required Knowledge:

o Self-organization, prioritization, scheduling, and planning abilities.

o Strong technical knowledge of CNC machinery.

o Understand the network of machine tool sales and cutting tool distribution.

Required Abilities:

o Build strong relationships with customers; understanding their business needs.

o Must be able to communicate effectively with both written and oral methods such as email, phone calls, trade shows, etc. with all levels of customers (from staff to upper management).

o Make consistently good scheduling decisions about visiting customers throughout the territory. Make efficient use of time and resources.

o Able to sell solutions; not just on price.

Required Experience and Training:

3-4 years of sales in the machine tool industry. A passion for sales and problem- solving. Experience with wholesale ‘pull-through’ sales model is a plus. Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
