This position manages all sales activity for Scientific Instrumentation products in the Northeastern USA & Eastern Canada. This includes both pre-sale and post-sale technical activities including assessment of company products meeting customer applications and the preparation of product specifications for development and installation of customized applications/solutions.

In this role you will:

  • Develop innovative growth strategy for Scientific Instrument Territory
  • Maximize margins and protect ASP (average selling price) by minimizing discounts and maximizing price increases
  • Work with FAEs and PM to revise and create useful sales collateral
  • Effectively prospect for sales opportunities by contacting new accounts in the territory
  • Travel to client facilities to conduct sales calls for the Scientific Instrument group
  • Provide quotations, solicit purchase orders, finalize sales
  • Generate revenue that exceeds sales target set for the territory
  • Work with Life Science & Semiconductor sales teams to foster/cultivate cross-BU sales opportunities
  • Perform product demonstrations to qualified, prospective clients in the territory
  • Work with Applications Lab to support sample evaluations for prospective clients
  • Perform equipment installation & training to new clients
  • Provide on-going technical support to clients within the territory
  • Respond to, and follow up, all leads generated within the territory
  • Attend Industry trade shows and support webinar activity for the territory
  • Attain mandatory Equipment Certification to perform calibrations, IQ/OQ validation
  • Apply entrepreneurial attitude to protect pricing and improve margins
  • Document all client interactions in the company’s CRM (Hubspot and/or SalesForce) database
  • Maintain pipeline of Opportunities for the assigned territory
  • Provide forecasts on Quarterly basis, or as required by Management
  • Provide Voice-of-Customer feedback to Product Management team
  • Provide weekly sales activity report to Sales Director

Traits we believe make a strong candidate:

  • Self-directed territory manager capable of delivering high growth
  • Demonstrated successful track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets/plan
  • BS degree with 12+ years’ sales experience in Lab or Semiconductor markets
  • 7+ years’ working experience selling Scientific Instrument products
  • Entrepreneurial, self-starting, strategic thinker with demonstrated track record of success in the development and execution of advanced value selling and marketing strategies
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, experience working in a matrix environment and managing multiple priorities and projects with dynamic timelines to execution
  • Demonstrated ability to handle complex negotiations, ability to work through ambiguity.
  • Strong business acumen
  • Confidence and courage to handle challenging situations with marketplace, internally within Entegris and among staff
